Iranian short ‘Medal’ shortlisted at San Mauro filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Medal’ is to be screened at the San Mauro Int’l Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short film ‘Medal’ has been nominated at the 2nd edition of the San Mauro International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Masih Masihzadeh-Lari, the short film was shortlisted as a semi-finalist at the 2018 edition of the event.

The film tells the story of an elementary school-aged boy who is jealous of his brother for the medal he received in an athletic event and the accolades he gets from family and friends.

Soroush Shah-Manesh, Pouya Nayyeri and Siamak Masihzadeh are in the cast.

San Mauro Torinese is an Italian small town with a population about 19 thousand in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in Piedmont, Italy.

Founded in 2017, the San Mauro Film Festival is an international film festival that accepts films of any length or genre. Films from any country and in any language are accepted, but they must be subtitled in English or Italian.

The San Mauro Torinese International Film Festival is slated to run its second edition May 23 – 25, 2018, in Turin, Italy.
